Brother Ali: Us
September 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Brother Ali is releasing his sixth album “Us” September 22nd. I heard of this guy through my buddy over at A2unes back in high school. I was instantly hooked. Since then he’s only impressed. A Midwest rapper with ridiculous flows, he’s signed under Rhymesayers Ent. and does a lot of work with Slug from Atmosphere. I was lucky enough to see both Atmosphere and Brother Ali first row at Rothbury in 2008. The show ranks as one of my favorites of all time. Below I’ve put the music video to the first single “Us” off the album. Also, I put the second two leaks as well.

Olubowale Folarin, known as Wale, is an emerging rapper out of D.C. His flows are unique and he’s really impressed me over the past year. His mixtape “A mixtape about nothing” first caught my attention. Then this spring he killed it on his mixtape “Back to the feature” with songs like New Soul featuring Yael Naim. The mixtape was produced by 9th Wonder (familiarize yourself with him if it doesn’t ring a bell) and features artists such as Talib Kweli, Joell Ortiz, Lady Gaga, Curren$y, Joe Budden, K’naan, Bun B, Jean Grae, and Royce Da 5′9.
All of his mixtapes are available for free download on his website walemusic.com.His debut album Attention: Deficit has been pushed back but will come out November 3. Here are a few leaks from the album to give you a taste of whats to come.
Wale – Chillin (feat. Lady Gaga)
Wale – Pretty Girls (feat. Gucci Mane)
Wale – World Tour (feat. Jazmine Sullivan)
