United Nations of Sound – Are you ready
January 20, 2010 · Leave a Comment
Richard Ashcroft, former singer for the Verve, with the first track from his upcoming solo project “Redemption” due out the 29th. Produced by No ID so this is definitely a step in a different direction for both Ashcroft and ID. You should know No ID from his work producing on Common’s old work in the 90s and recently Jay-Z’s D.O.A and Run This Town. You can check out the video to the song here.

Dan Black – Symphonies (Remix Feat. KiD CuDi)
January 19, 2010 · Leave a Comment
With the help of KiD CuDi, UK artist Dan Black remixes his
single Symphonies. Pretty sure these are the same drums used in Rihanna’s Umbrella. Which Black also used in his 08 song hypntz, his version of Biggie’s Hypnotize mashed with Umbrella. Regardless this track has a nice sound. Shouts to 2Dope.

I’m Back
January 19, 2010 · Leave a Comment
After a longggg while away from ya, I’m back by first giving you some stuff you may have missed in the last month or so I’ve been away. Hope everyone’s holiday season went well. As far as mixtapes go,
Lupe Fiasco released Enemy of the State back in November. Here’s my favorite track from the tape called popular demand
The mixtape has a couple remixes to Jay-Z tracks, and a great remix to Radiohead’s Kid A jam National Anthem and Slaughterhouse’s The one.
Grab it on Datpiff here. Another one to get is Wiz Khalifa’s Burn after rolling. Which you can get here. My jam from the tape is Knock U Down which I got for ya below.
And for all those people who still pay for music, some stuff to buy would be Eminem’s Relapse Refill,
and what I’ve been listening to on repeat which is the collaboration of The black keys and several rap artists in a group/album entitled Blakroc which you can buy here. I’m gunna put a couple of the tracks below to give you a taste because if you like these two, I’d HIGHLY recommend buying this album.

Blakroc – Hope Your Happy (Feat. Billy Danze, Nicole Wray & Q-Tip)
November 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment
YES! Another Blakroc project track, I’m real impressed so far. Being a big fan of The Black Keys and Hip-Hop in general the announcement of this project made my pants shift. This track is along the same Rootsish style of Hoochie Hoo (click for post and download), definately a great track. Shouts to TCO for the drop.

No Ceilings and One Foot Out The Door
November 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment
My bad for not getting anything on here in a bit, busy as hell. If you haven’t already, grab both these Mixtapes below. DJ Benzi and Clinton Sparks helped release Mike Posner’s second mixtape One Foot out the Door. With features like KiD CuDi, Bun B, Big Sean, Clinton Sparks, 3OH!3, and Saigon the 12 track mixtape is real solid and worth a listen. Remixes to Soulja Boy’s Kiss me thru the phone, XV’s Mirror’s Edge, 3OH!3’s Don’t Trust Me, and Posner’s own Cooler than me. The album is avaliable FREE on iTunes or his website HERE. Below is a stream of the tracks One Foot Out The Door, and the Gigamesh produced Cooler Than Me Remix.
Lil’ Wayne hasn’t really put me in awe like he was able to do in the Carter II days until this mixtape. Really brought the heat and impressed me and most everyone I’ve talked to about it. He cover’s Jay-Z’s D.O.A. and Run This Town, KiD CuDi’s Make Her Say, and Black Eyed Peas I Gotta Feeling. To me the difference in this mixtape were the beats, the great choices of beats on covers listed above combined with tracks like Swag Surfin’, Ice Cream Paint Job, Watch my Shoes, and break Up make this tape fire. Another FREE download HERE. Also, below is Break Up featuring Short Dawg & Gudda Gudda and Watch My Shoes. I highly Recommend you get both of these tapes.
